GRAY SKY, ZERO SIGHT

Constant rain, trees drip into the soil and the castle is hidden from view. Sounds of nature impeding on desired decisions conflict with a morning thought. Gray sky, zero sight on a possible sun and winter continues to reveal hatred. Mist covers my neighborhood while cars pass by in the distance, signaling the call to morning duties. School has begun and the mind recoils at the thought of having to deal with those intelligent colleagues for four hours! A healthy breakfast has been consumed, clear yogurt with granola and apple juice, allowing the body to feel at ease knowing a true start to the day has occurred. Time assaults all senses, forcing the knowledge that when feet step onto campus the mind dies a little inside. The rain is picking up again, providing doubts on whether it is worth the trip further into the core of a tiny capital. Thoughts drift toward the borders of Spain and questions meant for future movements concern the outcome of a teaching decision. Where will this form turn to when a diploma is opened and acknowledged within Wyncote? Bottle of wine rests on the table, still and inviting. Can’t let the tiredness settle in or else two months will appear as eternity accepted. House that reminds one of a dilapidated barn commands the view from my window at this angle, broken up by skyward branches encased by water. Phone is without dialed measures and needs, collecting dust beside a priceless item that states my will to travel. Woke up from a dream containing unwanted guests, disturbing the aura of darkened hours. House needs to be cleaned and by leaving this tiny hamlet of Europe I happened to volunteer for the job. Ears hear quiet gestures of movement downstairs. Four hours of sitting in a backbreaking chair, listening to broken English attempt to explain why military leaders acted the way they did and why TACTICS were fought and used the way they were!! I never imagined in my childhood that this subject at age 25 would assist in wiping away the minds will.
